The Program is exploring the possible uses of remote sensing images and data in monitoring the health and degradation of the aquatic and lake basin resources. Initial conversations have occurred with the East African Regional Remote Sensing Organization in Nairobi, the MSU Institute for Public Policy and Social Research (College of Social Science), the MSU Remote Sensing Lansing Center and, through its MSU representatives, the Consortium for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN).
