The African Studies Center Advisory Committee includes three at-large members and four members representing various faculty constituencies. Faculty are nominated and elected by members of the Core Faculty for a two-year term. (Profs. Folu Ogundimu and Ibro Chekaraou, whose terms end Dec. 2008, are on sabbatical leave for Fall 2008.)
