Congratulations to our GraduateOn April 10, 2002 Steve Bakiamoh, of Ghana, West Africa, earned his doctoral degree in Chemistry from MSU. The title of his defense was "Probing Interface Organization and Optical Nonlinearities in Asymmetric Layered Interfaces using Surface Second Harmonic Generation." Steve has gained employment with one of the local businesses in town.
Virtual University Class (Every Semester)
RD 876, "International Rural Development" is a course designed for people who care about improvement in human condition in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. It is offered as a web-based course every semester. This "live" seminar is taught by Professor George H. Axinn, Professor Emeritus. The course is offered as a graduate credit course, for three credit hours, and as a noncredit course. Since the course is offered in a weekly asynchronous conversation, it can fit into any schedule, regardless of the timing.
